This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.”
How exceedingly different this is from the values of the world.
It takes daily grace to remain ‘in quiet confidence’, to refrain, to say it’s ok despite everything. It is horribly tough, yes, but what a difference it makes.
