I love watching my dad clear his admin. regardless of the task, he is always 100% present at it. wish I had that.
the recurrent thought of the week is gosh my parents are amazingly diligent, conscientious and disciplined. I suppose they’ve been like this all my life, but I’ve never noticed it till now.
Here I am, constantly bemoaning the fact that i have no time, no space, no energy for anyone/anything besides myself. They, on the other hand, always made sure they had time, space and energy for each of us. Every opportunity to teach/discpline was taken, never brushed away for the very valid reason gosh I’m tired. Growing up, we knew they treated their work seriously, yet we never had doubts that we were more important.
I have so, so much to learn.
